Winter’s key yachting destinations

During the winter season, we’re all tempted by vacations some place faraway to stay healthy and start the new year on the right foot … Are you planning to leave soon? If you haven’t decided where to go yet, we’d like to present three destinations of choice for your winter holidays.

Some yachts dropped anchor.

Yachts

Winter in the tropics

Paradise islands dotted with coconut palms, whilst a little cliché, are still always quite popular in winter. The cold and the rain combined with accumulated fatigue during the end of the previous year encourage us to choose destinations that promise us sun, heat, translucent water and good moments of relaxation.

Bonus point: The winter season is the ideal time to charter a yacht in the tropics. Guadeloupe, Martinique, Seychelles, Bahamas… the choice is wide, but all those yachting destinations hold the same promises: a complete change of scenery and a momentary escape from the cold.

Ski resorts on the French Riviera

If you’re going to be cold, you might as well endure it for a good reason! On the French Riviera, just one hour away from the coast, you can take advantage of the many ski resorts to perfect your slalom.

Bonus point: Since the winter season is very mild on the French Riviera, nothing prevents you from alternating between sea and mountains. This will make your stay even more complete and rewarding.

The Rio Carnival

Salvador de Bahia, Buzios, Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro… Brazil is worth a look for many reasons. Between January and April, the country knows its hottest months. It is also peak season and the perfect time to enjoy the excitement that invades the streets during the Rio Carnival.

Bonus point: To avoid the crowd, do not hesitate to visit Brazil’s other cities, because in February, the entire country lives to the rhythm of the Carnival’s drums.
